Hanna’s voice ranges from sexy soulful to airy ambience, the sound from funk to folk.. Hanna’s is a talent informed by a broad musical heritage and road-tested extensively in a variety of bands and guises, in venues throughout the UK and Europe. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist (guitar, flutes, mandolin and percussion) and singer/songwriter who, since moving to Brighton in 1987, has become very much part of the city’s thriving musical scene. Hanna has played over the years in more than a dozen bands, as well as performing her own songs as a solo artist.
With Hanna’s biggest touring band Pan, she played the Brighton Centre, London’s Brixton Academy, the Edinburgh Festival, the Éstandard club in Barcelona,the Jazz stage at Glastonbury and supported Jamiroquai.
Hanna and her vocalising partner Magda have performed in folk festivals in Poland and Denmark and became regulars to the British festival scene.
Hanna has also been an integral member of the successful folk/funk group ‘The Fold’ for many years. Hanna is currently playing in her own band ‘The Angels from Elsewhere’.
